• Exeter Easter Weekend Market, April 10, 2023

I introduced my hand painted Calico bags to market goers on Monday and the response was fantastic!!! Such a thrill to increase merchandise options and have them embraced so well.

The illustrations I paint onto the bags are all originals done in fabric ink, Tasmanian native animals. I will paint bags with critters of preference upon request, however, I will ensure there will be subtle difference in every one I paint.

Thank you to everyone who bought my bags and/or offered their very, very much appreciated supportive comments. You are all so wonderful 😊

  • What book could you read over and over again?

Another successful day of promoting WALDO’S Wild Things today.

A huge shout out to the organisers of The Tassie Makers & Creators Festival at The Door of Hope in Glen Du and the wonderful team who make it all possible.

  • Exciting happenings in Autumn 2023

As Waldo & I are busily attending markets, fairs, festivals and meet, greet and signing over March, April & May, there is little time left for creating new art works or writing new poems! What a lovely state to find ourselves in. Our book has been well received by so many wonderful humans and we thank you all from the depths of heart.’/’

  • WALDOS WILD THINGS 3 MONTHS IN…

We enjoyed an amazing launch and book signing at Petrach’s in Launceston, Tasmania in December 2022, thanks to the wonderful Marcus and his great team.

Summer markets, fairs and festivals have enabled us to showcase our book and in return we have been overwhelmed with orders, interviews and humbling praise. Thank you to all who have supported our maiden voyage into the world of Children’s Literature.

  • Update and Excitement

Our launch at Petrach’s Launceston was a huge success. Many thanks to Marcus for his support and promotion. We have been successfully marketing our book through local markets and word of mouth. Looking forward to the Tassie Makers & Creators Festival on March 25, 2023.

‘Waldo’s Wild Things’ words by Waldo…illustrations by Jan888 – Paradise Art

Hi and welcome to our ‘coming out’ as newby bloggers!

Waldo & I have created an illustrated poetry book which, we believe, will provide an entertaining, fun and educational insite into the wonders of some of the unique, beautiful and sometimes wild and crazy, native animals which reside in Tasmania, Australia.

This is our first collaboration and we have received amazing support and direction from our publisher, Forty South, from Hobart in Tasmania.

Soon, it will be our time to shine … Release of our book, Waldo’s Wild Things, is expected to be early August 2022.

We are happy to talk to interested readers before our release date. Please send us your contact information or post your interest and/queries on our blog!

Thanks to everyone who has read, commented, contributed support, criticism and love…. Jan & Waldo
